At JAMLAC, we live for the moments when hope turns into reality — and recently, one of our accredited representatives, Carmen Stevens, experienced a true “Happy Dance” meeting with a client.
After nearly 20 years of waiting, this client finally held his residency card in his hands. When he saw it, he said:
“I couldn’t believe my residency came through until I saw the card with my own eyes. I haven’t been able to go to Mexico or see my parents and siblings for 20 years, and I’m just ecstatic knowing I can finally see them soon.”
For Carmen, this case was deeply personal:
“This was such a full-circle moment for me. Years ago, I helped his wife get her residency through a U Visa at my old job. I had even started his I-929 application before I moved to Denver and joined JAMLAC, but couldn’t finish it then. Another organization was able to submit and get it approved, and now, being able to help him complete his residency here at JAMLAC has been wonderful. The whole process took two years, and this is officially my first case where a green card was approved while working as an accredited representative at JAMLAC!”
The family’s journey is not over yet — his wife is now preparing to apply for citizenship, and Carmen hopes to walk with them through that milestone as well.
Stories like this remind us that every approval represents more than just a legal victory. It means reunification with loved ones, restored dignity, and renewed hope for the future.
