Recently, one of our attorneys celebrated a milestone that was years in the making.
An older adult living with dementia had long dreamed of becoming a United States citizen. Like many immigrants, he wanted the security, stability, and sense of belonging that citizenship provides. But because of his medical condition, completing the naturalization process presented unique challenges. Taking the standard citizenship exam simply was not possible.
For months, our legal team worked closely with him and his family, navigating a complex process that required patience, advocacy, and compassion. Every form, every appointment, and every conversation brought them one step closer to his goal.
This month, that journey reached a joyful conclusion.
He officially became a United States citizen.
