Creative Ways to Give: Your Workplace Can Make a Difference

Aug 18, 2026 | Uncategorized, Your Impact

Supporting JAMLAC doesn’t always begin with writing a personal check. Sometimes, it starts with simply asking your employer how they give back to the community.

Recently, more than 20 volunteers joined us for an evening of service to help digitize legal files—an important project that allows our staff to serve clients more efficiently. Among those volunteers was Svetlana, who invited several of her colleagues to participate. Their employer, Lumen, also generously contributed $1,000 to support JAMLAC’s mission.

This is a wonderful example of how businesses can make a meaningful impact beyond the workplace. Whether through corporate donations, employee volunteer groups, sponsorships, matching gifts, or community partnerships, companies have the power to strengthen organizations like JAMLAC and expand access to justice for thousands of individuals and families.

If you own a business—or work for one—we encourage you to ask about your company’s community giving programs. You might be surprised to learn that your employer offers volunteer grants, matching gifts, sponsorship opportunities, or charitable donations that can make an immediate difference.

Every volunteer hour, corporate partnership, donation, and act of generosity helps organizations like JAMLAC continue serving people who might otherwise face difficult legal challenges alone.

Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community—one partnership at a time.

Interested in partnering with JAMLAC? We’d love to explore how your business can invest in justice and make a lasting impact in our community.
