We’re celebrating some joyful news at JAMLAC! Both of our naturalization clients who recently had their interviews were approved! All that’s left is to wait for their oath ceremony date — a moment that will officially mark their journey to U.S. citizenship. We also applied for a Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions for one of today’s clients, and we’re so pleased to share that the interview went smoothly — proof of the preparation and care our team puts into every case.
This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing team. A huge shoutout to Vicky Guerrero, Immigration Paralegal and Workshop Coordinator, for her thoughtful interpretation and unwavering support during both interviews. And a special thank you to our Immigration Director, Sulma Mendoza, whose guidance made all the difference in preparing for a particularly meaningful second appointment.
One of the clients, Maria, represents a beautiful connection across organizations. Carmen M. Stevens, Department of Justice Accredited Representative, initially worked with Maria at another agency, helping her with her U-visa and permanent residency processes. When Carmen joined JAMLAC, she was able to reconnect with Maria and guide her through the naturalization process. It’s been an honor to witness the continuation of her journey, which also included helping secure her husband’s residency.
