JAMLAC RECEIVES GRANT FROM THE COLORADO HEALTH FOUNDATION TO EXPAND IMMIGRATION SERVICES

by | Jan 21, 2026 | Uncategorized

We’re grateful to share that The Colorado Health Foundation has awarded JAMLAC a two-year grant to support our continued growth and impact. This investment reflects the trust we’ve built as an organization and confidence in our ability to serve communities with integrity, stability, and care.

Through this two-year support, Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Center is expanding low- and no-cost immigration legal services into more rural communities—including Alamosa, Routt, and Moffat Counties—while strengthening services provided by DOJ Accredited Representatives (non-attorney legal professionals who are authorized by the U.S. Department of Justice to provide immigration legal services), immigration attorneys, and trained staff. This funding also allows us to collaborate with partners across Colorado and continue leading the Colorado DOJAR Network (a statewide collaborative led by JAMLAC that brings together organizations employing DOJ Accredited Representatives across Colorado), strengthening access to justice statewide.

The Colorado Health Foundation’s mission is to bring health within reach for all Coloradans by investing in communities, advancing policy, and building capacity—and we are honored to be part of that work. However, we cannot do this alone. Philanthropic support like this is only possible because of donors, partners, and community members who believe in JAMLAC’s mission and walk alongside us. Your continued support is essential to sustaining and expanding this work for the families and individuals who need it most.
