We are incredibly honored to share that the Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Center (JAMLAC) has been named a finalist for the 2026 Legal Impact Award as part of the prestigious Reisman Awards.
Out of more than 300 submissions from law firms and legal organizations across the country, JAMLAC was selected as one of only four finalists. This recognition celebrates organizations that are transforming lives through innovative, compassionate, and impactful legal services.
For the past 20 years, JAMLAC has walked alongside thousands of individuals and families facing some of life’s most difficult challenges. What began in 2006 in a converted motel room serving just 96 clients has grown into a faith-based nonprofit serving thousands of low-income Coloradans, providing free legal representation, legal education, advocacy, and hope to survivors of domestic violence, immigrants, older adults, vulnerable children, and families navigating poverty and injustice. Today, JAMLAC serves thousands of people every year through its legal programs, workshops, and community partnerships.
This nomination belongs to every attorney, accredited representative, paralegal, volunteer, donor, community partner, board member, and client who has been part of our journey. Together, we have spent two decades proving that access to justice has the power to transform lives and strengthen entire communities.
