We are honored to share that Carmen Murillo Stevens received the 2026 Excellence in Victim Advocacy Award from Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center. This recognition reflects Carmen’s more than two decades of dedicated service to survivors of crime, including fourteen years focused on immigrant survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of violence.
As one of only a few Department of Justice Fully Accredited Representatives in Colorado, Carmen provides critical immigration legal services that help survivors pursue safety and stability without fear. Her work is deeply rooted in compassion, informed by her own lived experience, and amplified through her leadership in co-founding Colorado’s DOJ Accredited Representatives Network. Carmen’s impact extends far beyond individual cases—she is helping shape a more just and responsive system for survivors across our state.
