Last month, JAMLAC had the privilege of attending a Jefferson County TRIAD meeting. TRIAD is a renowned national organization focused on developing and implementing various crime prevention programs specifically designed for older adults. These programs cover crucial areas such as home safety, wellness, victim assistance, elder abuse prevention, and awareness of current fraud trends. Our participation was made possible through a gracious invitation from the Senior Resource Center and our growing partnership with Porchlight.
During the meeting, Steve and Elizabeth had the opportunity to introduce our new Older Adult Legal Program to the attendees. They were able to educate and inform about 60 individuals on the comprehensive range of services offered by the program. The list of services includes legal guidance on issues such as End-of-Life documents – wills, powers of attorney, and advanced directives, which are vital for safeguarding the dignity and rights of older adults. We are immensely thankful to the Senior Resource Center for this opportunity to connect with the community. We are hopeful that through continued engagements like this, we will transform more lives and provide the necessary legal support to those who need it most.
