Earlier this year, we shared that JAMLAC was at risk of losing $550,000 in federal grant funding. We now have more clarity:
- Our federal awards were decreased by $177,032 ($99,718 from VOCA and $77,314 from Afghan).
- We received an unexpected blessing — a $62,500 grant from Next50.
- Thanks to this and the generosity of our community, our current funding gap is $115,000 (about 5% of our budget).
We are deeply grateful for the donors and monthly supporters who have already stepped up with special gifts. Your generosity is keeping hope alive for families in crisis.
Still, the need continues. To keep meeting the critical legal needs of immigrants, survivors of abuse, and families in our community, we invite you to help us close the remaining gap. Every gift — whether monthly or one-time — makes a difference.
Looking ahead, we also know that one of our significant grants ($208,000 annually) will conclude after September 2026. We are working diligently now to prepare and build a stronger base of support so no family goes without justice.
👉 You can help us bridge the gap. Give today and ensure every client continues to find safety, dignity, and hope at JAMLAC.
