Over the past few months, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher‘s firm to hold four impactful Employment Authorization Workshops. These workshops have been a cornerstone of our efforts to provide meaningful legal support to our community’s most vulnerable members. With 17 volunteers from Gibson Dunn stepping up to offer their expertise at our first workshop alone, the momentum only grew, bringing 30 of their 65 employees to volunteer with us, who have become regular faces in our initiatives. Encouragement to serve comes from top leadership – even three of the Gibson & Dunn Partners have sat with migrants to fill out applications.
Gibson Dunn attorneys must complete 50 pro bono hours annually, and many have chosen to dedicate these hours to JAMLAC’s cause. This partnership not only fulfills their commitment to community service but does so in a truly transformative way. “This work is transformative,” is a sentiment echoed by many who have participated, highlighting the visible impact these workshops have had on both the individuals we serve and the volunteers themselves.
Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Denver office is renowned for its comprehensive legal services, assisting clients with complex issues ranging from commercial litigation to mergers and acquisitions. But beyond their professional expertise, their Pro Bono program embodies a deep-seated commitment to justice and equality. It’s a commitment that aligns perfectly with JAMLAC’s vision, making this partnership a powerful force for good.
At Gibson Dunn, the belief is clear: lawyers have a unique ability and responsibility to ensure everyone has access to justice, not just those who can afford it. Their work with JAMLAC is a demonstration to this belief, providing top-quality legal services to those who might otherwise be unnoticed by the legal system.
As we continue to partner with Gibson Dunn, we are reminded of the incredible impact that dedicated professionals can have when they come together for a common cause. We are immensely grateful for their continued support and look forward to the many lives we will change together.
Thank you, Gibson Dunn, for being a pillar of support for JAMLAC and the communities we serve.
