We proudly announce that JAMLAC, once again, received the Arapahoe County Aid to Agencies Grant! With this grant, we will be able to help more domestic violence victims who are struggling with poverty and oppression.
“Evenaa, from Arapahoe County, suffered from physical, financial, and mental abuse. When she was five months pregnant, her husband beat her severely, leaving her and her unborn child in a critical medical state. Her abuser escaped, leaving her pregnant and alone with 5 children whose ages range from 15 to 4 years old.
With the help our partnership with the Arapahoe County Aid to Agencies grant program, we were able to help her with marriage dissolution, custody of her five children, child support, and external resources that enabled her to move forward.
