Empowering New Beginnings: JAMLAC’s Workshop Aids 55 Migrants with Employment Authorization

by | Dec 14, 2023 | Uncategorized

It’s with a deep sense of pride and fulfillment that we reflect on the success of our recent workshop aimed at assisting new migrants through the CBP1 Humanitarian Parole program. This pivotal event stands as a landmark achievement in our ongoing mission to provide critical legal assistance to those starting anew in our country.

Under this program, migrants who have recently arrived in the United States were given the chance to apply for their Employment Authorization Document (EAD)/work permit, a crucial step in building their new lives here. The words of one of our clients resonate deeply with our team’s purpose: “We want to work, better our lives, and give my son a better future.” This sentiment perfectly encapsulates the hopes and dreams of the 55 individuals we had the privilege of assisting.

Our team’s dedication and hard work paid off spectacularly, as evidenced by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) processing an astounding 55 applications. This achievement was beyond our expectations and is a testament to the efficiency and organization of our team in the days leading up to the event.

These 55 applications represent far more than just paperwork; they symbolize 55 new beginnings, 55 opportunities for a prosperous and secure future. The collaboration with the USCIS team was nothing short of remarkable, and their expertise and support were instrumental in the workshop’s success. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to them for their partnership in this vital endeavor.

Reflecting on the day of the workshop, our hearts are filled with joy and appreciation. It was a day marked by hope, progress, and a sense of community. At JAMLAC, our core mission is to facilitate such life-changing opportunities, one application at a time. We extend our sincerest thanks to everyone involved – your dedication, empathy, and hard work have truly made a lasting impact.

Let’s continue to work hand in hand to organize more such successful events, bringing hope and tangible assistance to those in need.

With our deepest gratitude,

The JAMLAC Team
